He gives bunches of flowers the sensuality of a portrait where a branch protruding would like a bit rebellious, constantly seeking the balance between order and disorder, balance and imbalance. Exalted by the music of Schumann, Berlioz or Wagner, Fantin-Latour explored also, with relish, a later vein that the closer to the Symbolists, where he let his imagination run, trying to transcribe harmonies, enchanting transpositions of musical emotions . An opportunity to smell the classic perfumes of floral family.
