Perfume is certainly the most vulnerable and evanescent of all human creations. Yet it certainly has alasting impact on people’s memories. What do we do when perfumes are no longerfound for sale? How do we find them again? The Osmothèque, a French nonprofit organization, opened on 26 April 1990. The very first fragrancearchive in history, it preserves vulnerable, precious fragrances, keeping themsafe from the ravages of time and from being lost and forgotten. A livingcollection of existing fragrances and those that have disappeared, it protectsthe world’s fragrance heritage. | |
