A unique place
Perfume is certainly the most vulnerable and evanescent of all human creations. Yet it certainly has alasting impact on people’s memories. What do we do when perfumes are no longerfound for sale? How do we find them again? The Osmothèque, a French nonprofit organization, opened on 26 April 1990. The very first fragrancearchive in history, it preserves vulnerable, precious fragrances, keeping themsafe from the ravages of time and from being lost and forgotten. A living collection
Today, 2500 fragrances,including 400 no longer available. Some fragrances have been remade according to original formulas, while others have been entrusted to us by brands: Le Parfum royal (1st century); l'Eau de Cologne de Napoléon à Ste Hélène (1815); the famous fragrances of Paul Poiret (1911); the gems ofHoubigant, Coty, and Lubin; and the marvels of Guerlain, Chanel, and Lancôme... >> For more info on the collection >> What become the flavors which you confide us? >> Discover the collection
